This year's MAHAK's Now-Ruz Charity Bazaar held on Thursday 25^th & Friday 26^th of February 2010 from 10am to 7pm was indeed another successful event, welcomed by nearly 2400 visitors and friends of this Society.
With the benevolent help of our volunteers, the Bazaar offered numerous Now-Ruz gifts, from 7Seens, ornaments and souvenirs, to home-made gourmet food and beverages, sweets and confectionary … in the most joyful atmosphere, recorded by news agencies and the TV.
The total proceedings of the Bazaar which sums up to 115m.Toomans would directly go for the benefit of the children supported by or hospitalized at the MAHAK Pediatric Hospital.
On behalf of our innocent children, MAHAK wishes all the visitors a very Happy New Year full of health and prosperity.

Following last year's visit of Professor Della Valle of Santa Maria Hospital in Reggio Emilia of Italy, on 29 Jan. 2010 he paid a second visit to the MAHAK Pediatric Hospital, together with two other prominent Italian Oncologists.
After touring different wards, Professor Vincenzo Ciaccio of the University of Perugia and Prof. Francesco Carinci of the Uni. of Ferrara, praised and commended the facilities and conditions of the Hospital. On the conclusion of their talks with professors Vossough and Alebouyeh, they proposed to sign separate Agreements for Cooperation with MAHAK on certain issues of mutual interests, like the exchange of surgeons and pathologists as well as the latest scientific achievements on pediatric oncology.

On "Childhood Cancer and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)"
Graphic design opens new horizons to direct the public awareness towards an exact point of view. This had brought MAHAK to the idea that with the help of Graphic Designs we can substitute the concept of the "Corporate Social Responsibility" with that of the "Social Participation" which was more familiar for the individuals and companies.
To propagate the meaning of Humanity and informing the public about the two sided and positive aspects of "Corporate Social Responsibility", MAHAK in cooperation with Iranian Graphic Designers Society held "The 1st International Exhibition of Poster Designs" on the occasion of the International Cancer Week (29th January- 4th February 2010). The jury consisted of a number of famous graphic professors and prominent artists and though the graphic dimensions was the main criteria for choosing the three best designs among a total number of 137, all the works have been rated as most valuable to MAHAK, from the view point of a humanitarian movement.

The month of December was a busy period for MAHAK, packed with several programs. Among which, the two days Food Bazaar of 10 & 11 December 2009 with numerous booths for traditional, domestic and exotic dishes was a great success, attracting many benevolent donors as well as public to join the event.
On December 12^th a meeting was held with members of the Iranian Business Council (IBC) in Dubai to introduce the NGO of MAHAK and the Pediatric Hospital to the this council of businessmen with a view on the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).
The Fundraising reception of 17 December was also a success as the invited guests to the banquet enjoyed the live music and listened to the addresses by the Founder of the Society and the Managing Director.

Marek WYSOCZYNSKI the prominent Polish artist, connoisseur of celebrities' autographs and the Director of Culture Promotion Office of Gdansk, chose MAHAK for his tour of autumn 2009.
In his trip to Tehran, Wysoczynski had only appeared in MAHAK to hold a Workshop in December 1st, in which he joined the kids and collected some 30 of their SMILEY sketches. The SMILES that know no borders and will soon start traveling around the world, taking MAHAK's children and parents' message with them.

A program specially designed for children's joy and happiness took place in the most cheerful atmosphere on November 20-21, 2009 at the MAHAK Society to Support Children with Cancer. It was the first children's Circus in Iran and as it appeared the program managed to take the kids and adults into a fascinating world of fun!
The aim of the Circus was to raise funds in support of the children covered by and hospitalized at the MAHAK's Pediatric Cancer Hospital and their families. The Circus first day of performance, Nov. 19th was dedicated to the children of MAHAK and the public (including some kindergardens) made a great audience for next two days.
