MAHAK & Ferrara University of Italy
Pursuant to the last January negotiations with the Italian professors and oncologists, an Agreement of academic, educational and research cooperation between MAHAK and the University of Ferrara was officially signed on June 15th 2010.
Professor Francesco Carinci, Chair of Maxillofacial Surgery on behalf of the Ferrara University and Professor Dr. Parvaneh Vossough, Head of the Board of Trustees of MAHAK Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer signed the Agreement.
A number of scientific areas, according to this Agreement, are named as fields of mutual interest of both institutions and are subjected to be promoted by joint activities of the two sides.

MAHAK Music Festival (26 May – 1 June 2010)
The main objective of MAHAK Music Festivals is to support Cancer Stricken Children and the third of these Festivals, held at the Society's auditorium from 26 May to 1st of June 2010 has been marked as one of the greatest cultural events in Iran.
In this exceptional concert, Maestro Loris Tjeknavorian conducted the Armenian Narekatsi Chamber Orchestra, performing masterpieces of Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Bizet, Strauss and many others as well as Iranian renowned composers like Mohammad Sarir and the brilliant performance of the Kamkaars folklore music which was welcomed by thousands of audience.

MAHAK welcomed Turkish visitors
In May 26, a group of 11 CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Directors of some Turkish corporations and companies visited the MAHAK Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer.
During the one hour tour which was coordinated by the CSR Association of Iran, the visitors accompanied by the Managing Director of MAHAK were deeply impressed by the atmosphere of the Society and Hospital, before they attend the Classical Music Concert at the auditorium.

100 Artists works' with the theme of "LOVE"
A good number of prominent artists as well as Friends of MAHAK attended the opening ceremony of the special Painting Exhibition on 14 May 2010.
The joint exhibition of MAHAK Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer and BEHNAM DAHESHPOUR Charity Organization, sponsored by the bank of Eghtesad e Novin, Pakvash Co. and Farmanieh Club is open for the public visit from 15 – 21 May 2010.
All works have been dedicated to the two Charities and the proceeds of this valuable art treasury will be for the benefit of the patients suffering from cancer.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, we would like to request the pleasure of having all art-lovers and Friends of MAHAK to pay a visit to the unique exhibition.

Dutch students visiting MAHAK
A group of 20 students of Amsterdam University paid a visit to MAHAK Society and Hospital wards on Saturday 24 April 2010.
The visit, organized by the School of International Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs was a part of a Special Exchange Program between the Netherlands' and the Iranian ministries with the aim of helping their students to get familiar with progressive programs in both countries. Since MAHAK is recognized as the first and the foremost NGO in Iran with a special focus on support and treatment of the children affected by cancer, it became one of the students' target visits.

MAHAK in Vancouver's Now-Ruz
Iranians residing in Vancouver, Canada were attracted by the "Haft-Seen" booth of MAHAK at the special bazaar arranged for Now-Ruz.
The booth was set up by a benevolent Friend of this Society who dearly believes that :
"No borders can limit the LOVE for the children supported by MAHAK"!

The Success Stories
Mohammadreza (1988)
Mohammadreza was born in 1988, the third child of working parents living in the city of Sari. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2000. After the completion of treatment, he is now a medical student in the university.
