Some of these partnerships go back many years. \u00a0MAHAK representatives participate in annual meetings of these organizations and exchange information and experiences on child cancer response and contribute to a joint agenda \u00a0to fight cancer.<\/div>\n<div>During the years 2008 and 2009 MAHAK has won awards from IDB on \u201cWomen in Development\u201d and from UNWG (United Nations Women Guild) for purchasing hospital equipment.<\/div>\n<div>The international activities of MAHAK are carried out through the International Department and include promoting the organizations\u2019 activities in world bodies such as the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), United Nations Department of Public Relations (DPI), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). \u00a0Activities for obtaining international donations and grants are also carried out through this department.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MAHAK has been a member of the International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations (ICCCPO) since \u00a02000.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MAHAK has been an affiliate of the Gustave-Roussy Institute (IGR) since 2007. \u00a0Two international congresses, &#8220;Late \u00a0effects of Childhood Cancer Treatment&#8221; in May 2008 and \u201cTailored Strategies for Childhood Sarcoma&#8221; in April 2009 were held jointly by MAHAK and the Gustave-Roussy Institute.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MAHAK is an Associate Member of the International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research (INCTR).<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MAHAK and the Cancer Institute of Iran signed a partnership agreement on research programs in 2003.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MAHAK receives donations from ISCC \u2013 an affiliate of MAHAK &#8211; in the United States.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MAHAK is affiliated to St. Jude Children Cancer Research Center in Lebanon.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MAHAK cooperates with L\u00d6SEV, the Foundation for Children with Leukemia in Turkey.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 MAHAK also cooperates with the International Union against Cancer (UICC).<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":3736,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[1],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3735"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=3735"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3735\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3738,"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3735\/revisions\/3738"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/3736"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3735"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=3735"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mahak-charity.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=3735"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
