World Children\u2019s Day, established in 1954 and celebrated annually on November 20, is a reminder of the universal responsibility to promoting the rights and welfare of children around the world. Children\u2019s rights are non-negotiable and universal, yet many children today endure violations and negligence.<\/p>\n
Recognized as UNICEF\u2019s global day of action, World Children\u2019s Day aims to point at challenges faced by children, as well as the urge for a universal solidarity to resolve them.<\/p>\n
World Children\u2019s Day is not merely a celebration of childhood; it is a call to action against the violence, abuse, and discrimination that many children endure globally. Millions are subjected to forced labor, caught in armed conflicts, or left to fend for themselves on the streets.<\/p>\n
Moreover, millions of children currently live in extreme poverty, lacking access to essential resources such as food, sanitation, shelter, healthcare, and education services. These challenges disproportionately affect children, making it essential for us to stand beside them.<\/p>\n
MAHAK, the Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer, was founded by a woman, who could not pass over the pain experienced by children with cancer and their families. Mrs. Saideh Ghods felt the kind of frustration, love, sorrow, hope, anger, empathy, and pressure that come along with cancer.<\/p>\n
Over 30 years have passed since that pivotal moment when Saideh Ghods chose to establish the society to endorsing children with cancer. Now, MAHAK is a big family and as a leading charity institute strives to create a world, where every child not only survives but also thrives.<\/p>\n
In MAHAK, we believe that children are our future, and that future belongs to them. We stand with the slogan \u201cInvesting in Our Future: Our Children\u201d.<\/p>\n
