On the occasion of International Day of Charity, September 5, 2013, marked to honor the efforts of charitable organizations and individuals, we would like to express our appreciation to those who are very much willing to go out of their way to spread love and kindness to those people who are in dire need of affection and support in terms of socio-economic, mental, and educational services. Today with ever increasing number of people in the world thus increasing number of impoverished individuals, charitable organizations are becoming ever more important by filling the services gaps. With raising awareness, we are witnessing greater number of people contributing to creation and sustenance of charities across the globe, thus making an immeasurable and irreplaceable difference in the lives of those in need.
MAHAK as one of these charitable institutions that continually strives to provide comprehensive support and assistance to cancer-stricken children and their families firmly believes that reaching this goal could not be achievable without endeavors and cooperation of thousands of individuals whose decision to embrace and encourage the spirit of giving has resulted in reaching a certain goal of lowering cancer-related infant mortality rates. Until the last day of her life, the late Prof. Parvaneh Vossough, a prominent pediatric oncologist personified love in MAHAK in its greatest form. As large as her foot marks are, the number and conviction of those determined to step in them is growing by the moment. We hope this communicable trait spreads across the globe to the point where every day becomes an ‘International Day of Charity’.
