“Today I went to one of MAHAK's playrooms. The children were sitting at a table to draw their favorite things in watercolor and gouache paint. I went in and attracted their attention by saying: "hey! A great piece of news! There will be an international painting fair for children. All of you can participate." One of them said: "Really? What should we paint?" "Whatever you like" I replied and her eyes glittered with excitement.

I will never forget those days! After graduating in Tehran, I returned to Kerman, my lovely city, where the warmth of the earth and the starry sky represent warm hearts and mysterios minds of its inhabitants.

I support MAHAK by working there as a volunteer social worker. As a volunteer I spend two days a week with children in playroom. You may not believe it how joyful is when you play with children and entertain them. Most of the time, We play music and children start dancing and twisting. We also play various types of game such as hide and seek, chess, puzzle and so on to entertain these lovely children.

The story narrated by the brown briefcase:
I am a brown leather briefcase. I guess it was a spring day when my owner and I were walking on the street. I was bulging with the files of MAHAK’s kids and the money paid by benefactors. That is probably why I caught the eyes of the thieves and got stolen in a blink. My owner screamed and ran all over the street following the muggers who escaped by a motorcycle. Finally, he stopped in  disappointment and gradually went out of sight. My owner is one of the benefactors in MAHAK who likes to remain anonymous, and even I don’t hear him say his name very often. Throughout the years I have became part of his unknown personality.

When I first arrived at MAHAK, I had been expecting to visit a typical charity hospital. But much to my surprise, MAHAK was far from the muted and bland hospital that I had previously pictured. From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed to a rush of bustling activity. People from all over Tehran were gathered around together chatting, eating, shopping, and just having a good time.
