The 2nd International Congress on the Role of Supportive Bio-Psycho-Socio-Spiritual Services in Multidisciplinary Treatment of Childhood Cancer
 
MAHAK, the Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer, is planning to host “the 2nd International Congress on the Role of Supportive Bio-Psycho-Socio-Spiritual Services in Multidisciplinary Treatment of Childhood Cancer” on November 22-23, 2017, in Tehran, Iran with scientific sponsoring of Family Research Institute of Shahid Beheshti University, Faculty of Psychology and Education of University of Tehran and Cancer Research Center of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Science.
According to the latest global achievements, cancer treatment is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary method with the necessity of collaboration between medical and supportive teams including oncologists, nurses, social workers, psychiatrics, psychologists, and consulates and other specialists. In this vein, “the 2nd International Congress on the Role of Supportive Bio-Psycho-Socio-Spiritual Services in Multidisciplinary Treatment of Childhood Cancer” is held in 5 specialized panels, different speeches and workshops with the presence of national and international speakers at MAHAK Hospital.
 
 

Theme:

The main focus of this congress will be ‘Psycho-social support services for cancer-stricken children and care givers (family and professionals) in multidisciplinary treatment approach in the stages of:

   •   Diagnosis

   •   treatment process
   •   After the treatment process (follow-up)
   •   After remission
   •   Grieving and post-grieving
