Even thinking of being sick and staying at home for a couple of days or having to go to the doctor is really difficult. But this is the truth in the life of many people. Sometimes treating some diseases are difficult and costly but by prevention and timely diagnosis many of the side effects can be cured. National Rare Diseases Day, May 8th, is marked to raise public awareness about this issue and encourage each and every member of the society to have periodical checkups and also support their fellow beings who are suffering from rare diseases.

On the occasion of the National Rare Diseases Day we pay tribute to the individuals, institutions and community-based organizations who work in this field and we wish health and wellbeing for all the patients.
