A Different Birthday Bash at MAHAK

Every month, there is a birthday celebration for MAHAK children. At this ceremony, the book trollies started a new journey in different wards of MAHAK while carrying presents, cupcakes and all is needed for a great party.
This time, the children themselves should have decorated their own cake. The book trollies carrying chocolate cupcakes, truffles, jellies, paper parasols and pudding which were distributed among children in different wards with the help of MAHAK volunteers and social workers.
The first stop was the clinic of MAHAK the place the children go for their routine checkups. The big surprise was when a volunteer playing violin and the other one singing ‘Happy Birthday’ song entered the clinic.
The trollies’ journey continued to chemotherapy ward. There, the children were excited by receiving their birthday presents. Then the party went on at the other wards and playrooms at MAHAK. The children gathered in playrooms along with their mothers to decorate their cupcakes singing happy songs accompanied by their friends and volunteers.
The last destination was MAHAK’s residential center. The children along with their friends and parents gathered in the hall and participated in a fun contest of decorating cupcakes. One of the children put a lot of paper umbrella on the cupcake and said:” these are the parachutes of MAHAK for us.” Another one wrote MAHAK on the cake with jelly bears and took photo with his friends.
It is twenty-five years that we have tried to seed hope and happiness in cancer-stricken children and their families’ heart and steadfastly believe that wherever is kindness and happiness, our children will be the certain winning heroes.
