On the occasion of International Day of Disabled Persons, December 3rd 2016, the managers of MAHAK visited the Iranian handicapped Society in appreciation of their activities during the last 37 years of its establishment.
The Iranian handicapped Society has sought to create a satisfying situation and equal opportunities for the active presence of disabled persons in the society. Preparing urban spaces suitable for the disabled, legislation concerning people with disabilities, social empowerment, and promoting their access to equal job and education opportunities are amongst the main goals of this society.
Given the fact that ‘disability’ could result from the side effects of some cancer diseases, MAHAK, in line with supporting children with disabilities resulting from cancer, has united forces with the other humanitarian organizations to promote and provide an improved level of situation for the disabled.
We do hope that through sharing knowledge and experience with other organizations, we could pave the way for providing high quality services to all in need and we look forward to the days that our civil society would witness elevated capacities of humanitarianism.
