On August 12, 2016 the representatives of the international ‘Circus of Sun’, settled in Eram Park Tehran, was the host of rather special guests, MAHAK children, at the place of this circus.
Two months ago, when two clowns from this circus had come to MAHAK and made a happy and joyful day for children (read the news here); they invited all the children to this event. On Friday morning, a group of MAHAK children and their parents along with a group of volunteers and social workers went to a huge red and white stripped tent in Eram Park to be a spectator of their show.
The show was performed by different artists from various countries such as Kenya, Mexico, Ecuador, Russia and Iran with the presence of professional showmen performing various shows such as juggling, tightrope walking, hand balancing and plate spinning. The clowns with brightly colored clothes, red noses and painted faces seemed familiar to children due to their previous visit to MAHAK about two months ago.
With ‘Kenya Boys’’ entrance to the center ring, a group of boys from Africa, the show was officially launched. The excitement of their chain balance show was to the extent that the spectators were petrified at their power of balance. An artist from Mexico who is the record breaker of acrobalance on stairs made a very exciting time for the children and their families.
The next performance was done by the youngest member of this circus, a six-year boy named ‘Abtin’ who surprised all the spectators with his entrance. He came out to the center ring from a suitcase and continued his show with headstands and hand balancing. This part of show was so interesting for the children and also for their parents.
But the last and the heart melting part was the time when the announcer came to the ring and showed his regret that their tightrope walker from Ecuador has been injured while exercising. But after a while, he claimed that the artist insisted to present his show only because of their special guests from MAHAK. By his presence in the ring, fear and excitement filled there and silence was the key point of watching his show.
At the end of the show, all the artists came to the ring and spend some time with MAHAK children and their families. MAHAK children and their parents also expressed pleasure and satisfaction by taking photos with them. The children were escorted with smiles and good wishes of the silver man and all the circus’s artists.
MAHAK believes that happiness has a great impact on facilitating the treatment process and appreciates all the supporters who cooperate with this NGO to make happy and unforgettable moments for children and their families. MAHAK considers it as its duty to provide cancer- stricken children and their families with a safe and happy atmosphere to remind them everything is possible with hope.
