The “Romantic Night of Loris Tjeknavorian”, performed by Alborz symphonic orchestra, was conducted by Loris Tjeknavorian at The Milad Tower conference center on October 10, 2015, and 50% of its revenue was donated to MAHAK, the society to support children suffering from cancer.
It was the first time that Alborz Symphonic orchestra was collaborating under Tjeknavorian’s leadership to perform his romantic pieces in a night full of love towards MAHAK children. At this special night Loris Tjeknavorian, the renowned Iranian-Armenian composer–conductor, was back to conduct his pieces after being away from the stage for years.
This 1400-attendence concert held, in cooperation with MAHAK, aimed to celebrate the 80th birthday of Loris Tjeknavorian, for which he was granted a painting created by pre-teen supporters of MAHAK children.
MAHAK appreciates the attendance of all the benevolent individuals at this concert who created a chance to co-experience a memorable evening of harmony between art and kindness in an atmosphere filled with love and humanity. With your kindness and support, children suffering from cancer will be able to sing their farewell song to cancer and continue on with their sweet childhood days.
