Seminar on Forensic Medicine and Medical Ethics

The training seminar was held on Wednesday the 8th of January 2014 in MAHAK specialized pediatric cancer hospital on the topic of the role of forensic medicine and medical ethics in cancer treatment.

This seminar was held in collaboration with the Tehran Forensic Medicine Organization. A number of works on different topics such as nursing and medical records, issuance of death permit and death certificate, process of obtaining informed consent and acquiescence from the patients, ascertaining nursing and medical malpractice cases, and dictums of medical ethics were discussed. The sessions were conducted by Dr. Alireza Kahani, Dr. Jaber Gharehdaghi, Dr. Gholamali Jafari, Dr. Amirmohammad Mohajerpour, Dr. Farhad Rezvani, and Dr. Abolhasan Ghareh Daghi. The legal responsibilities of physicians in writing medical certificates and sick notes for patients were also discussed in this seminar. Besides physicians, nurses took part as well.
