MAHAK’s First Online Fundraising Event

MAHAK held a live online fundraising event for the first time in March 2021. This event was broadcast on MAHAK’s Instagram account. The famous Iranian classical and Persian traditional singer, Salar Aghili performed in the honor of MAHAK children as a volunteer. In addition, two volunteer musicians and one of MAHAK’s cancer-survivors, Sanaz Alinia performed in the fundraising event. Another cancer-survivor also told the inspiring story of his cancer journey and encouraged his friends to continue their fight for defeating the disease.

MAHAK has held in-person fundraising events twice a year on its premises; however holding such events was completely halted due to Coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, MAHAK as an agile organization which always tries to adapt itself with the prevailing environment decided to preserve the custom of holding such events by piloting one on the digital format of an online platform.

Sharif Nezam-Mafi, the CEO of MAHAK and Behnaz Asangari, the manager of Support Services Department elaborated on the measures undertaken in the past year since the inception of COVID-19 pandemic. Donors and benefactors who viewed this event made their donations through MAHAK’s website in support of cancer-stricken children.

We pay tribute to all who have accompanied us in the path of supporting children with cancer and their families in all circumstances during the past 30 years. We look forward to eradication of cancer in future as a result of such generous care and support.
