Parents’ Group – Strength in Togetherness
At MAHAK, we know that when a child is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family begins a journey filled with challenges, uncertainties and emotions. Parents, as the closest caregivers, need support as much as their children do. To respond to this vital need, MAHAK established the Parents’ Group—a community where families can connect, share experiences and draw strength from one another.
A Network of Shared Experience
The Parents’ Group brings together mothers and fathers who understand what it means to care for a child with cancer. In this safe and supportive environment, parents can:
-
Share personal experiences and coping strategies
-
Exchange valuable information about treatment, care and daily life
-
Receive emotional support from others who face similar challenges
-
Build friendships and a sense of solidarity during difficult times
Guided Support and Activities
In collaboration with MAHAK’s social workers and psychologists, the Parents’ Group organizes regular meetings, workshops and counseling sessions. These activities help families manage stress, improve communication within the family and gain the tools they need to cope with the emotional and practical aspects of their child’s illness.
Empowering Parents, Supporting Children
By empowering parents, MAHAK ensures that children receive stronger emotional and practical support throughout their treatment. When parents feel understood and supported, they are better able to focus on their child’s well-being and maintain hope for the future.
The Parents’ Group stands as a reminder that no family walks this path alone. At MAHAK, we walk together—with compassion, strength and hope.
