Ali Daei, a renowned former Iranian football player and present head coach, visited MAHAK on Sunday February 23rd, 2014, and engendered a joyful day for MAHAK children. He is the former captain of the Iranian national football team, having played for clubs such as Bayern Munich in his long tenure as a professional player, and he is the world’s all-time leading goal scorer in international matches.
Ali Daei, along with his wife, went from room to room visiting children and their families. He played a game with one of the children and also took friendly pictures disseminating smiles and hope among MAHAK children in order to motivate them in their battle with cancer.
“Bringing them a little happiness by coming over here is a great experience,” he stated.
At the end of his visit, Ali Daei and MAHAK children wrote their colorful dreams on a football which was later auctioned in the MAHAK’s recent Nowruz bazaar.
MAHAK fully appreciates all the kindness and support benevolent individuals selflessly provide in helping children remain children. Sports celebrities such as Ali Daei are particularly effective as they represent success through conviction and hard work surmounting every hurdle in their path to triumph in life.
