On 15th of November2015, the goalkeeper of Iranian National Team, Alierza Haghighi, visited MAHAK to meet children with cancer and their families.
During his visit, he donated 24 shirts with the number 24 on it to MAHAK children in memory of Hadi Norouzi, Persepolis F.C. Club captain. He promised to the children that although he is currently residing outside of Iran due to his work but whenever he returns, he will visit MAHAK children.
Haghighi, who is one of the longtime supporters of MAHAK, has visited this organization several times before. After 2014 World Cup in Brazil he came for a visit and played a symbolic penalty shootout game with little heroes fighting cancer in which he willingly stood to be scored upon. Haghighi was looking for children whom he has met during his past visits and was very happy to hear that some of them have been recovered and went back home. MAHAK children gave their medals knitted by their mothers to the Iranian Football National Team goal keeper; he expressed his pleasure saying that this has been the greatest gift he has ever received.
Alireza Haghighi’s visit was to bring new insights for his football fans. One more time, he requested all football fans to support MAHAK and children with cancer through the methods that MAHAK offers and help these little heroes preserve their health with their benevolent support and presence.
With the continuing love and support of yours we hope for a day when we can celebrate together the victory of all cancer-stricken children.
