The 2nd ‘Rang-e-Eshgh’ Charity Visual Arts Exhibition coinciding with MAHAK’s 25th anniversary was inaugurated on September 2, 2016, with the aim of supporting children suffering from cancer in Ravagh Art Gallery of Milad Tower in Tehran with the presence of the artists, art lovers, CEO of MAHAK and members of MAHAK’s board of directors.
This exhibition is being held to display artworks of more than 52 contemporary artists in different forms of paintings, sculptures and photographs.
The opening ceremony was initiated with Arasb Ahmadian, the CEO of MAHAK’s speech, who appreciated the artists and their companionship with MAHAK during the past quarter of century and considered such cooperation as another successful bond between MAHAK and the artists’ society. He also referred to the former ‘Rang-e-Eshgh’ exhibition and stated: “Today we gather here again to witness the social capacity of Iranian society. This gallery creates the chance of providing the medication and treatment expenses for children with cancer along with enjoying the beauty of art.”
Arasb Ahmadian remarked that: “It has been 25 years that MAHAK, an NGO founded with a mother’s love for children with cancer and their families, has managed to support more than 24000 cases so far and currently provides treatment and support services for about 13,500 cancer-stricken children and their families.”
The 2nd ‘Rang-e-Eshgh’ Charity Visual Arts Exhibition, which is open to public, is being held till September 9, 2016. 50 percent of generated revenue of this gallery will be donated to MAHAK to be spent on medication and treatment of children with cancer.
During the past twenty five years, the artists have always supported MAHAK children with their love of their life; their art. We, at MAHAK appreciate artists’ companionship and support and wish for a day that we together celebrate the remission of all cancer-stricken children around the world.
