Fourteen-year-old Fatemeh was diagnosed with brain tumor a few years ago.  Being under MAHAK support since August 2011, she presented  us  a beautiful painting of hers as a demonstration of her empathy for play rooms in MAHAK which function beyond ethics and language differences.

Play room in MAHAK Hospital is a lovely and favorite place for MAHAK children, a place full of joy and vivid memories, built in order to help children remain children, giving them hope and conviction, preventing them from becoming reclusive, and thus assisting them in maximizing their chances for recovery and returning to normal life afterwards.
In these dedicated spaces, psychologists and social workers are ever present assisting children with music therapy, narrative therapy, and many other psychological services creating critical periods of happiness for them.
Play rooms serve a complimentary purpose; it’s a place where MAHAK children from different localities and ethnicities play together, where they learn compassion for human beings has a deeper language beyond words and terms.
MAHAK family’s ever-lasting goal is providing full support and assistance for cancer-stricken children and their families to help them live a life of health and dignity, reinforcing the conviction in their mind that “Cancer is not the end and that all these hard days of treatment and follow-ups shall soon become a distant memory for all concerned.
“I never felt away from home among MAHAK family” Fatemeh said.
