Cooking with a Taste of Friendship

Last Sunday, the cooking group of ‘Simay-e-Khanevadeh TV Show’ and Chef Reza Taheri, visited MAHAK in order to cook a healthy and nutritious food with the assistance of cancer-stricken kids.
Children and their parents were excited to meet the celebrity cook they saw everyday on TV and, in anticipation, were preparing themselves several hours in advance. With particular enthusiasm, Ameneh, one of MAHAK children, was practicing the pasta recipe that she had learnt from her mother. Pasta with mushrooms is one of her favorite dishes.
Some of the children participated as sous-chef by Reza Taheri’s side and talked about their cooking experiences. Then MAHAK’s little cooks dressed the food provided by Mr. Taheri and served it for their other friends with full hospitality etiquette.
The idea behind this activity was to engage all family members in a fun endeavor resulting in a mouth watering outcome. By encouraging these types of activities, MAHAK always tries to deliver comprehensive support to all cancer-stricken children, providing them with various pleasurable experiences to assist them in maximizing their chances for recovery and eventual return to normal life.
