First National Psychology Congress in Iran on ‘Children with Cancer’

The very first national psychology congress on ‘Children with Cancer’ will be held in MAHAK on December 5 – 6, 2012.

MAHAK in line with its mission to share its knowledge and experiences in specialized fields concerning children suffering from cancer has mandated its Psychology department, which is a subdivision of its Support Services department with extensive experience in providing psychological support for patient children and their families, to hold this congress.

The main subject foci of this congress will be diagnosing psychological needs, identifying appropriate interventional and clinical psychology methods designed for children patients and their parents, implementing play therapy mechanisms such as painting, music, storytelling, drama, game, etc. during treatment period, supporting rehabilitation and crisis management methods, and effective education for parents during treatment process and in the post mortem period.

•    The summary of the articles should include objective, methodology, discussion issues, and concluding points.
•    Article can be presented in either oral or poster formats.
•    The summaries will be reviewed by the selection committee and the result will be conveyed to the sender.
•    The selected articles will be published in the final collection.
