This year’s theme, “From Science to Global Action,” marks 40 years since nations united under the Vienna Convention to protect the ozone layer. Their success—strengthened by the Montreal Protocol—shows the power of science and global cooperation. Harmful chemicals like CFCs have been phased out, putting the ozone layer on the path to recovery.
At MAHAK, while our mission focuses on children with cancer, we recognize that environmental health and human health are inseparable. Protecting the ozone layer reduces harmful UV radiation, lowers cancer risks and ensures a safer future for generations to come.
On this International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, we join the global community in celebrating this achievement and in committing to continued action—because the health of our planet is deeply connected to the health of every child we serve.
