Saeed Nasiri, one of MAHAK’s children who surmounted cancer, won the 65 kg category gold medal in the 21st National Weightlifting Championship with an incredible record lift of 175 kg.
This championship was held in the presence of supervisor of the International Paralympics Committee (IPC) with the participation of 130 disabled weightlifters from across Iran. Due to IPC supervision, the weightlifters records were registered in global ranking, thus rendering these competitions particularly important in terms of obtaining the participation quota in 2014 World Cup in UAE.
MAHAK’s cancer survivor children are the symbol of 22 years of love and participation of thousands of goodwill people who believe that cancer is treatable and, thanks to their efforts, over 20,000 cancer-stricken children were supported comprehensively.
In advance of December 28, “MAHAK’s Childhood Cancer Survivors’ Day”, we congratulate this great success to Saeed and the rest of MAHAK family and hope for the day when we celebrate the survival of all cancer-stricken children together.
