‘Haemovigilance’ assessment exam was held by Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization (IBTO) on June 18, 2013, with the objective to evaluate the related capabilities of medical team of MAHAK Hospital.Haemovigilance is required to identify and prevent occurrence or recurrence of transfusion related unwanted events, to increase the safety, efficacy and efficiency of blood transfusion, covering all activities of the transfusion chain from donor to recipient.
All medical centers that participated in this test will receive license of Haemovigilance based on their grade.
