Happy International Volunteer Day

Today, on December 5th, International Volunteer Day (IVD), MAHAK recognizes and celebrates the volunteers, their efforts and achievements, without which MAHAK would not exist.

MAHAK was founded based on volunteers by Saideh Ghods and her friends in 1991. Therefore, volunteerism is at the heart of MAHAK principles to build a foundation for our young, active and global volunteers, to make a difference in the lives of children with cancer and their families.  Families wandering in the wards of different hospitals in need of guidance hope, and mental fortitude are the core target of MAHAK. Since then, the organization has grown and expanded nationally and internationally supporting more than 21.000 patients, hence, continually making a significant difference to the situation of cancer-striven children and their families.

Today and every day thereafter, we express our sincere thanks to all community-based and non-governmental organizations that promote volunteerism and recognize all volunteers’ commitment.  Word cannot express our sincere gratitude for hundreds of millions of people who volunteer to make a change and take that extra mile in someone’s life.
