Every culture has recognized a date as the beginning of the New Year. For some, the advent of spring ushers in the New Year while for some it corresponds with collection of key crops. These conventions share one important objective: bidding farewell to the past days and greeting the new ones; saying goodbye to the unpleasant memories and saying hello to hope, happiness and health in the upcoming year. Along with our Christian compatriots, we put the adversities of 2019 behind us and embrace the dawn of 2020. We wish a year of happiness and wellbeing for all humankind.
