Dear MAHAK Supporters,
Welcome to Close the Care Gap campaign.
To date, we have united and joined the World Cancer Day campaign to close the gaps in providing diagnosis, treatment and supportive services for cancer-stricken children all over Iran so that they will all have equitable access to the mentioned services.
On the occasion of the International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD), February 15, we aim to inform you about the different kinds of pediatric cancer. Over 38,000 cancer-stricken children have been supported by MAHAK; 9000 of whom have survived this disease, up to September 22, 2021. However, more than 21,000 children are currently passing their challenging days of treatment throughout the country. As you see in the picture, MAHAK children suffer from cancers including: Leukemia, CNS Tumors, Lymphoma, Wilm’s Tumor, Sarcomas and Retinoblastoma; and the most common cancer is Leukemia.
May all children suffering from cancer survive this disease as a result of your care and support since you are the ones who close the care gaps between disease and health.
