MAHAK – the Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer – has always strived to operate in line with international standards and has consistently welcomed audits of its performance by international organizations that set global benchmarks.

 

Achievements

    1. Winner of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) World Cancer Day Spirit Award in 2020 for its nationwide awareness campaign on cancer prevention and early detection
    2. Gold Winner of the International Project Management Association (IPMA) Global Project Achievement Award 2018 in the category of Sustainable Development Projects
    3. Ranked the #1 NGO in the world by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) NGO Benchmarking Audit in 2018
    4. Recipient of the Gold Award from the “Top Ten Award International Network” in 2017
    5. Recipient of the Silver Prize for Green Project Management (GPM) in 2014

Joint Projects with National and International Institutes and Organizations

    1. Study with the University of Tehran on mechanisms regulating emotion and emotional adjustment in children with cancer
    2. Cooperation with CAF in Russia on childhood cancer projects
    3. Research with Gustave Roussy Institute on the effects of delayed treatment in childhood cancer
    4. Research with Iran University of Medical Sciences on the impact of apoptosis induction by Noscapine on lymphoblast cells in leukemia patients
    5. Joint study with the Iranian Cancer Institute on the geographical distribution of childhood cancer patients

Over the past years, MAHAK representatives have actively participated in international conferences, seminars, and meetings of the above-mentioned organizations, showcasing MAHAK’s activities in combating childhood cancer.

    2. Organizing joint cultural nights, exhibitions and circus events in collaboration with foreign embassies
