Each year, the first week of August marks World Breastfeeding Week, a global initiative championed by WHO, UNICEF, Ministries of Health and civil society organizations to highlight the vital role of breastfeeding in building the foundation for a healthy, equitable future.
In 2025, under the theme “Invest in Breastfeeding, Invest in the Future,” the week shines a light on the long-term benefits of breastfeeding—for children, families and societies—and the continued need for strong healthcare support systems that empower mothers in their breastfeeding journey.
At MAHAK, we recognize that for families facing the challenges of childhood cancer, supporting breastfeeding and early nutrition becomes even more essential and often more complex. That’s why MAHAK is committed to a family-centered approach to care—providing guidance, emotional support and access to specialists who understand the physical and emotional needs of both mother and child.
Breastfeeding is not only a natural act of nourishment—it is an investment in lifelong health, cognitive development and economic resilience. By promoting informed choices, skilled counseling and supportive environments, we can help every child start life with strength, even in the face of illness.
MAHAK joins the global call to action: Let us invest in breastfeeding to build a future where every child has the healthiest possible start—because every young life holds incredible promise.
