Today is the World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases (COPD) Day. Pulmonary diseases hurt the lungs and disrupt respiration and therefore, they endanger one of the most vital performances of human body.

Today’s lifestyle has led to the spread of respiratory diseases. Excessive use of tobacco; living in small homes with no ventilation; and air pollution are the main causes of this disease. Human beings have doubled the causes for COPDs by cutting off the trees and mass-production of cars. Marking a day as the World COPD Day raises awareness toward this disease leads to the increase in awareness about them, reduction of the causes, and increasing the knowledge about them. On this occasion, a short study about this disease and will have positive impacts such as early diagnosis and learning to do simple things to prevent COPDs. Let’s not lose this opportunity.
