November 15 is declared as ‘World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Day’ under the theme of “the many faces of COPD”. Today is a good opportunity for finding more information about different diseases of this type and the ways through which we can preserve our health.COPD is an umbrella term used to describe progressive respiratory system’s diseases which could result in uncontrolled cell growth, and eventually the development of lung cancer. These diseases, like cancer, are non-communicable (NCD) and have a gradual and prolonged treatment process.
On the World COPD Day, we pay tribute to all individuals and organizations striving to increase health awareness in society and provide health care for people with these types of diseases.
