In celebration of International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD), Dr. Arasb Ahmadian, the CEO of MAHAK Charity Institute, gave a speech in the Second Global OncoThon on February 2025.

About half a million children around the world are diagnosed annually. This number presents real stories of children, their parents and families, and the community’s role to support them on this journey. This highlights the power of partnerships in driving meaningful change. Together, we can bring hope to families, and ensure no child faces cancer alone.

In alignment with this mission, MAHAK, the leading and remarkable non-profit organization in Iran, and in partnership with organizations like UICC and SIOP, plays an important role in childhood cancer care and endorsing the parents by delivering comprehensive support services, advanced treatments, charity-based activities as well as educational and awareness campaigns.

The battle against cancer is undoubtedly challenging, but achieving this under the world’s sanctions is a true form of resilience and is the art of advocacy. When organizations and communities unite with a shared purpose, we can make a greater impact beyond geographic boundaries and political and economic sanctions.

Together, we can create a future where every child has access to quality cancer care. We stand beside those dealing with cancer, ensuring every individual has access to the best possible care and support by sharing resources, knowledge and encouraging a spirit of collaboration.

Together we are #UnitedbyUnique
