Global Compact is a voluntary initiative established by the United Nations (UN) in 2000 to encourage businesses and organizations worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible practices. It provides a universal language for corporate responsibility, applicable to businesses of all sizes and complexities, regardless of their location.

Global Compact unites companies, civil society, and entities to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles focusing on human rights, labor, the environment, anti-corruption, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Implementing these initiatives lead to render positive impact on global challenges while promoting ethical business practices.

The mission and vision of the Global Compact revolve around creating a sustainable and inclusive global economy by engaging the private sector to tackle social and environmental issues.

Recognizing the importance of sustainable development in fostering a healthier future for children with cancer, MAHAK Charity Institute has been a member of the Global Compact since 2016. In doing so, MAHAK aligns its mission with the Global Compact’s ten principles and the SDGs, demonstrating its dedication to the welfare of children and the development of sustainable communities.

Global Compact requires all its members to submit biennial reports to evaluate their adherence to the ten principles and their progress in implementing the SDGs. This accountability promotes transparency and ongoing improvement. Since becoming a member, MAHAK has consistently submitted its reports, detailing how its operations and strategies over the past two years align with these universal sustainability values.
