MAHAK Hospital

From the early years of founding the Society, one of MAHAK’s major goals was to establish a Pediatric Cancer Hospital. A piece of land was purchased in1997, the construction started in 1999 and in March 2007, the dream came true with the inauguration of the Hospital. The highly specialized hospital, which has access to the world’s latest technology in the field of pediatric cancer diagnosis and treatment, plays a vital role in the region.

MAHAK hospital now covers over 18,000 square meters and includes Emergency, Oncology, Hematology, ICU, Chemotherapy, Radiology, Radiotherapy, Psychology, Surgery rooms, Genetic Laboratory and the Children’s Heart Departments, a Dentistry Clinic as well as Diagnostic Services such as CT Scanners, MRI, Biochemical Lab, Microbiology Lab, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy Centers. There are also welfare departments, recreation facilities, a library and an auditorium as well as children’s play rooms. Children with cancer from other countries such as Azerbaijan, Afghanistan and some African countries have access to similar patient care and services.
