MAHAK Representatives Attend the 8th Asia SIOP/ICCCPO Congress

International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parents Organization (ICCCPO) has joined forces with International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) in conducting both regional and annual congresses for medical and humanitarian functionaries in the field of children cancer.  MAHAK representatives, Ms. Saideh Ghods who is founder and member of both Boards of Trustees and Directors of MAHAK and member of Asia Regional Committee of ICCCPO, and Dr. Maryam Tashvighi, a Hematologist and Pediatric Oncology specialist at MAHAK hospital, attended the 8th SIOP/ICCCPO Asia Congress held in Seoul, South Korea.

The main theme of this congress was “Working Together to Conquer Asian Childhood Cancer”. The congress hosted a multi-stakeholder forum including parents, survivors, clinicians, healthcare professionals, scientists and industry leaders with a high quality and diverse program offerings with stimulating educational sessions featuring scientific symposia, keynote lectures, poster sessions and other forums.  Ms. Ghods had a presentation on the implementation of novel methods of Pain Management in MAHAK hospital.

MAHAK consistently strives to have a proactive participation in the regional and international fora, conferences, workshops, and congresses which are held in the field of cancer throughout the globe to share knowledge and achievements in the areas of research and treatment of all cancer types affecting children.
