Each December, we come together to celebrate “MAHAK Survivors Day,” and this year was particularly special as MAHAK hosted an intimate gathering for 50 survivors. The origin of MAHAK Survivor Day traced back to Kiana, the first survivor and daughter of MAHAK founder. At the age of two, Kiana was diagnosed with cancer, resulting in her mother, Saiedeh Ghods, to become aware of the challenges and limitations encountered by children and their families during pediatric cancer treatment journey.

The event featured music, snacks, board games, video games, and matched outfits. As you step into the event hall, the vibrant atmosphere is palpable! In one corner, two players, Alireza and Arshia, are locked in an intense FIFA match: Manchester City versus FC Barcelona. The excitement builds as the crowd gather around, passionately cheering for both players. “Go, Arshia!” one shouts, while another encourages Alireza. With the score at 3-1 in favor of Arshia, both players are determined not to give up, embodying the spirit of resilience.

As the clock winds down, the tension in the room reaches a peak. Everyone holds their breath, captivated by the action on the screen. Suddenly, the crowd erupts in cheers as Alireza makes a stunning comeback and scores!

You do not need to wait up for the end of the match to figure out the result! Because, you are once more reminded that it is not about winning or losing! It is all about not giving up till the last moment!
