Nurses, a Vital Resource for Health Sector

National Nurse Day was celebrated during an event on March 8th, 2014 to mark unique contributions nurses afford to society. The event was held in the presence of members of MAHAK boards of trustees and directors, and the managing director as well as MAHAK’s physicians, specialists, nurses and other staff members.

As the largest specialized pediatric cancer hospital in the region, where bed occupancy rates often reach more than 80%, nurses play a vital role in fulfilling the goal of providing full support and assistance to cancer-stricken children and their families.  Nurses have the practical knowledge of how health service delivery can be designed, coordinated and effectively implemented. They also play an important role from the moment a new life begins in a health center to saying goodbye to loved ones in a hospice.

These events serve as opportunities for us at MAHAK to express our appreciation and thanks to the society of nurses for their endeavors in raising the bar in the healthcare continuum which strives to enable more effective and efficient care while saving countless lives.
