This year marks the first official World Radiotherapy Awareness Day (WRAD), observed on 7 September, to highlight the vital role of radiotherapy in cancer treatment. With the theme “One Voice for Radiotherapy”—set for the next three years—the campaign calls for collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and a stronger global commitment to improving access to this essential treatment.
Radiotherapy is a cornerstone of cancer care, yet many patients worldwide still face challenges in accessing it. By raising awareness, WRAD aims to inform the public, engage health professionals and strengthen partnerships that will expand access and quality of care.
At MAHAK Pediatric Cancer Treatment and Research Center, radiotherapy plays a crucial role in supporting children during their treatment journey. MAHAK has been equipped with highly advanced radiotherapy instruments, ensuring precision, safety and effectiveness in treatment. This makes radiotherapy not only vital but also one of the most important elements of comprehensive cancer care for children.
By standing together with “One Voice for Radiotherapy,” we reaffirm our commitment to advancing treatment, raising awareness and empowering children and families in their fight against cancer.
