These days, health is the most important thing we need to get back to our normal lives. Perhaps we used to believe that the wellbeing of ourselves and our loved ones are enough for having a happy life. However, today we know that maintaining health in our community affects our lives. The wellbeing of each one of us in society is depended on another and this is the bright side of today’s situation. We will take better care of this gift and undoubtedly we will spend more time for our health and the community’s in the future.
It is 29 years that MAHAK is working hard in the field of healthcare with your support. Today, April 7, 2020 is the World Health day. On this occasion the World Health Organization (WHO) announces the theme of ‘Support nurses and midwives and reiterates’:
“ 7 April 2020 is the day to celebrate the work of nurses and midwives and remind world leaders of the critical role they play in keeping the world healthy. Nurses and other health workers are at the forefront of COVID-19 response – providing high quality, respectful treatment and care, leading community dialogue to address fears and questions and, in some instances, collecting data for clinical studies. Quite simply, without nurses, there would be no response.”
Therefore, we pay tribute to all the health workers who strive to bring health back to us and we appreciate them for their efforts. We hope these days will pass soon and MAHAK will be able to supports thousands of cancer-stricken children with less concerns.
We have experienced similar situations due to the experience of supporting cancer-stricken children and have seen the impacts of empathy. So, we have a request which you have heard of very much these days; let’s follow WHO’s guidelines as much as possible and make coronavirus leave our city and our country by staying home.
