The 75th MAHAK Charity Bazaar was held with the contribution of 180 volunteers on February 23-24, 2017 on the occasion of the Persian New Year with over 2500 attendees offering various products. This Bazaar was held as one of the registered fundraising activities for World Cancer Day (WCD) campaign of Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).
Welcoming the Beautiful Spring
It was not difficult to feel the presence of spring all over the Bazaar since, it was decorated with beautiful flowers by volunteers as main organizers of MAHAK charity Bazaars during the past 25 years of activity.
One of the most interesting aspects of this Bazaar was the Haft-Seen tabletop arrangement of seven symbolic items traditionally displayed at Nowruz, the Persian New Year. The haft-seen table includes seven items all starting with the letter Seen in the Persian alphabet with the sound of “S” symbolizing the arrival of the spring, mentioning different aspects of life.
Handmade Dolls by MAHAK Children
The dolls made by MAHAK children in the playrooms with the presence of the social workers and psychologists were auctioned during the Bazaar. Since MAHAK children’s handmade arts are one of the most precious assets for MAHAK, it will be kept at the MAHAK’s museum as a memorial of a joyful day at playroom and also at Bazaar.
As the previous bazaars the presence of many of artists, and athletes gave another joy and excitement to MAHAK Nowruz Charity Bazaar. MAHAK appreciates their ongoing companionship and support to MAHAK children and their families.
The ‘Balloon of Wishes’ was released on the last day of Bazaar while the visitors’ wishes were written on it which we all hope they come true by MAHAK supporters’ kindness like the past quarter-century.
Revenue Generated by Bazaar
The whole revenue generated by 75th Bazaar, more than 5,277,000,000 IRR will be spent on medication and treatment of children with cancer as usual of every charity Bazaar holding at MAHAK.
We appreciate all the kindness and support from all the members of MAHAK family who help us offer the most qualified support and treatment services to the children with cancer and their families around the country and the region. While starting the second quarter century of activity, we at MAHAK wish for a day when we could celebrate the full recovery of all cancer patients specially children.
