Earthday.org is calling attention to the “Planet vs. Plastics” theme for Earth Day 2024 to highlight the urgent need to tackling the harmful impact of plastics on both human health and the planet.
This campaign aims to bring together different groups of the society including educational enterprises, trade and marketing, governments, unions, individuals, and community based organizations to cooperatively achieve a 60% reduction in the production of plastics by 2040, which ultimately results in a world free of plastic.
Failing to address the “Planet vs. Plastics” theme could have severe consequences for both human health and the environment. The crisis is aggravated by the annual production of more than 380 million tons of plastics leading to pollution, poor recycling rates, and environmental contamination. If this issue caused by the “fast fashion industry” is neglected any longer, we encounter more severe consequences.
MAHAK in line with “Ecological Preservation and Green Initiative” programs, is following the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to conserve natural resources for children worldwide.
As part of its commitment to Earth Day 2024, MAHAK plans to incorporate sustainable practices including plastic usage reduction, recycling initiatives promotion, and the community awareness campaigns about the environmental conservation significance.
MAHAK plays a part by aligning with “Planet vs. Plastics” schemes to build up a more secure future for its children and all individuals globally by having a green planet.
