Second Conference on ‘Pain in Children’ in MAHAK

The second subspecialty conference on ‘Pain in Children’ with certified retraining accreditation was held in MAHAK Hospital on January 30-31, 2014.

This conference was arranged by MAHAK’s Pain Management department in cooperation with Iranian Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (ISPHO) aiming to promote scientific findings and knowledge exchange on novel methods of pediatric pain control.

This gathering was attended by about 65 people from medical faculties of the various universities and over 40 lecturers as well as representatives from Iranian Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ISRAPM), Iranian Pain Society and universities of medical sciences.

Meeting MAHAK’s long-term goals requires remaining abreast of the latest contributions to the field, and exchanging knowledge and experience with professionals and experts, thereby raising the level and quality of organizational and personnel knowledge. MAHAK achieves this goal by sponsoring and participating in related conferences, festivals, job fairs, and scientific-professional organizations at the national and international level and regularly shares gained knowledge and experience with other alike organizations. This time MAHAK realized this objective in corporation with respected professors from different medical fields from universities of medical sciences of Gilan, Isfahan, Shiraz, Tehran, Yazd and Zabol.

We all strive to continuously improve the quality of medical and social services in support of children suffering from cancer and wish for the day when all patrons, experts, parents and all humanitarian activists celebrate optimal quality of life measures for children with cancer.
