Special Educational Services for MAHAK Children

MAHAK School has professionally started its activity according to the principles of Iran’s Ministry of Education. With the help of volunteer teachers, ‘MAHAK School’ tries to keep the interaction of the children with their schools and prevent them from leaving education during their process of treatment.

The book trolley of MAHAK is another educational service, an idea inspired by MAHAK volunteers who have always thought affectionately for making better and more innocent days for children who suffer from cancer. During the trolley time, a cart of book is circulated within the rooms of the hospital and the children can take any book that they want to read, color, and remember that childhood continues in MAHAK. It is observed that this service really helps the children to fill their free time in a satisfying and interesting way.

Due to the importance of the education and improving the quality of the life of children with cancer, MAHAK is eager to extend its educational services such as MAHAK School and Book Trolley to other hospitals. Fortunately, these services are not limited to MAHAK hospital and there are two other pediatric hospitals in Tehran, which are providing similar services for their patients as well.

MAHAK hopes to improve the quality and quantity of such activities in order to help children with cancer all over Iran remain children, giving them hope and conviction, preventing them from becoming reclusive, and thus assisting them in maximizing their chances for recovery and returning to normal life afterwards.
