Two Italian tourists came to MAHAK on Monday, 14th of September 2015, on the 62nd day of their trip around the world to meet children with cancer and deliver the message,  “All our dreams can come true”.
These two tourists, who traveled with the help of FORMA Onlus, the Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital Foundation of Turin in Italy, always dreamed of travelling the world with a 1965 Fiat 500. They decided to visit 13 countries from Italy to Japan, demonstrating that dreaming is still possible and all our dreams could come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
During the trip, they try to meet other associations involved in early childhood cancer and ask the children to draw their dreams using crayons and papers given to them. At the end of their journey, all the collected drawings will be shown in the “500 dreams in 500″ exhibition in Italy.
Upon their arrival at MAHAK, the destination they chose for their message in Iran, children and their families welcomed Luca and Andrea, their Italian guests, and gathered in the hall of MAHAK’s residential center with their friend, families, the staff and volunteers.
Afterwards, the children gave their message to the world with their drawings and wished health and happiness for all their little friends around the world.
When children finished drawing their colorful dreams, the visitors had a tour around MAHAK in order to become familiar with the activities of both the charity institution and the hospital.
At the end of their visit, they took a souvenir from MAHAK on their Fiat 500 saying “Hope thrives in MAHAK”. Luca and Andrea were also given two special paintings with a special sentence on it: “We hope for a day when every dream comes true.”
By holding such events, we at MAHAK try to help children to keep their childhood innocence, giving them hope and conviction, preventing them from becoming reclusive, and thus assisting them in maximizing their chances for recovery and returning to normal lives afterwards. These caring and thoughtful events remind us that “Cancer Is Not the End”.
MAHAK is very grateful to all those around the world that contribute financially or non-financially to child patients and support them along their path to health and happiness. MAHAK children wish Andrea and Luca a safe trip discovering 500 dreams around the world.
