Before starting the summer, on Friday May 31st, MAHAK hosted nearly 300 guests consisting of MAHAK children, their family members, support services staff and volunteers to celebrate the beginning of summer holidays with a colorful event which was planned to coincide with the 12th International Week for Children with Leukemia (IWCL). The aim of the event was to highlight the battle with leukemia undertaken by little heroes around the world and raise awareness that will hopefully contribute to ending or, at least, shortening the war against cancer.
During this event, children enjoyed an exclusive four-hour play period with their parents and members of MAHAK support service department who were assisting any which way required.  Most of the activities revolved around drawing on large sheets of paper which were placed on the tables in advance, and with children music playing in the background, they enjoyed playing with each other as well.
The other element which made them overjoyed was the presence of Fitileh-ha Group with whom they took photos and experienced a pleasant time. Children’s families took part in all of the activities as well and, by all standards, enjoyed themselves no less than the children.
The atmosphere benefitted immeasurably by the presence of celebrities and social VIPs who mingled openly with everyone around.  MAHAK is fortunate to enjoy the support of all the strata of society including well-known artists who not only actively support cancer-stricken children but also make them happy by their sheer presence.
As advocates, our call to say “NO TO CANCER” and support “TRUE HEROES” whose lives have been touched by cancer, means increasing public knowledge and raising awareness and support for all the patients and their families in the fight against childhood cancer.
MAHAK fully appreciates all the kindness and support benevolent members and volunteers selflessly provide which, through these types of activities, help children remain children, giving them hope and conviction, preventing them from becoming reclusive, and thus assisting them in maximizing their chances for recovery and returning to normal life afterwards. We express the same appreciation to all colleagues across the globe that share this goal and are striving for the same outcome on a daily basis.
