World Humanitarian Day 2014 Commemorated by UN

MAHAK participated in an event held by the UN Country Team in commemoration of The World Humanitarian Day (WHD) 2014 which was observed on August 18 in Tehran.

This event was held with the notable presence of UN Under-Secretary-General (USG) for Humanitarian Affairs, Ms. Valerie Amos and Deputy Foreign Minister of Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Araghchi as well as the UN Resident Coordinator, Mr. Gary Lewis and his Country Team, members of the foreign missions based in Tehran, Iranian officials, members of academia and civil society organizations as well as aid-workers whose invaluable contributions was acknowledged by all present.

MAHAK as a long-lasting implementing partner of one of the UN agencies, namely United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) consistently strives to have a proactive participation in the regional and international fora, conferences, workshops, and congresses which are held in the field of humanitarian activities to share novel methods, best practices,  and achievements with alike institutions and key decision makers.
