World Marrow Donor Day, observed annually on the third Saturday of September, highlights the importance of bone marrow and stem cell donation and honors the donors whose selfless act offers hope to patients worldwide.
MAHAK’s Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) domain, founded in 2011, has faced the challenge of sourcing compatible stem cells for pediatric patients, with only a 25% chance of finding a match among family members. To address this need, MAHAK launched its donor registration program in 2017, and today, over 12,000 individuals are listed in the organization’s stem cell bank.
Every registration carries the potential to save a child’s life. On this occasion, MAHAK expresses its deepest gratitude to all donors and invites more people to join the registry. By becoming a donor, you can turn hope into reality for children in need.
