Every child has the right to safe, high-quality healthcare from the moment they are born. This year’s World Patient Safety Day, observed on 17 September, carries the theme “Safe care for every newborn and every child” with the slogan “Patient safety from the start!”

Newborns and children are among the most vulnerable groups in healthcare settings. Their rapid growth, evolving needs and reliance on adults for protection place them at higher risk of preventable harm. The World Health Organization (WHO) is highlighting this theme to call for stronger clinical standards, better training for health workers and improved systems for preventing, reporting and learning from adverse events in pediatric and neonatal care.

At MAHAK, we recognize that children with cancer and their families need not only advanced treatment but also the highest safety standards in every aspect of their care. By ensuring safe and effective medical practices, empowering health workers and engaging families, we strive to create an environment where children can receive treatment with trust, dignity and hope.

On this World Patient Safety Day 2025, MAHAK joins the global community in reaffirming that patient safety is a fundamental right—because every young life holds incredible promise.
