World Refugee Day, recognized by the United Nations, is observed annually on 20th of June to admire the bravery of refugees worldwide, who have fled their homes due to conflict or persecution. This day sheds light on refugees’ rights and needs as well as summoning global support to help them not only to survive but also to thrive.
As the number of emigrants grow worldwide, refugees need our solidarity now more than ever. The gift of hope for a better future can be given to the refugees through welcoming them, honoring their strength, and addressing their challenges. The key to successfully help the refugees is to globally join forces with purpose of enabling them to settle down in their new homes, access jobs, education, and essential services until they can eventually return to their homeland.
MAHAK stands with this solidarity to providing supportive services for refugee children and their families from every corner of the world. Over the past 33 years MAHAK has endorsed over 2900 refugee children dealing with cancer whom 487 of them have been cured. Currently, more than 1200 refugee children dealing with cancer are members of MAHAK evergrowing family.
On World Refugee Day, let us pledge to support refugees’ involvement and empowerment, creating a brighter future for all.
