Professor Desmond Durkin-Meisterernst Donated His Prize to MAHAK

Professor Desmond Durkin-Meisterernst donated his world award for Book of the Year of Islamic Republic of Iran, won in 2016, for his book entitled “Ancient and Middle Iranian Studies” to MAHAK. Book of the Year Award has been given to selected works of national and international authors in different fields since 1955.

“Ancient and Middle Iranian Studies” includes twenty-two papers on Ancient and Middle Iranian topics covering different linguistic areas such as Avestan, Old and Middle Persian, Sogdian and Bactrian. The articles deal with archeological and historical aspects of south-western and north-eastern Iran and some other topics.
