MAHAK’s Presence at the 1st Congress of International Volunteer Day

MAHAK participated in the first congress of International Volunteer Day which was held on December 5th in Razi Congress Hall of Iran University of Medical Sciences with the aim of commemorating the volunteer-based institutions on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day. More than 300 volunteers were present in the event from more than 100 volunteer-based organizations.
Along with unveiling the appreciation plaque for International Volunteer Day, the volunteers and representatives of volunteer-based organizations were commemorated from four different sections of:
• Hygiene and Health
• Women, Children and Social Harm
• The youth, Rescue and Social Affairs
• Cultural Heritage, Tourism and the Environment
MAHAK was also awarded the commemorative plaque for the International Volunteer Day by Masoumeh Ebtekar, Vice President of Iran for Women and Family Affairs; Seyed Mohammad Hadi Ayazi, Deputy Minister of the Headquarter for the Social Determinant of Health; Hojjat Nazari, Head of the NGOs’ Headquarters- the City council, Dr. Seyed Ali Javad Mousavi, the Social Deputy of Iran Universirsity of Medical Sciences.
The primary core of MAHAK Charity has been formed by volunteers; we at MAHAK believe in capabilities of our volunteers in making magnificent changes and hope to take stronger steps in the path of supporting cancer-stricken children with the constant contribution of our benevolent volunteers.
